Moby Dick, or, The Whale

Sorry it has been so long since I last posted. I would like to say I've been too busy doing wondrous arty things, but really I've been too busy thinking of wondrous arty things to do, being sick, and going to the theatre. My mother and I saw "Moby Dick" this afternoon, and it was quite amazing, despite the obnoxious 12 year old boys sitting behind us kicking our chairs. Needless to say, I'll probably be drawing a lot more sailors in the next few days, as Moby Dick has rekindled my sailor flame and I also plan to re-watch the "Horatio Hornblower" series starting tomorrow. Mm, sailors.

That being said, here's some new art as of this moment:

I'm not too fond of the Easter egg one, but it was finished, so I thought I'd share it anyway. The mermaid solo one is available at the etsy, and the Mick/Mermaid one may be shortly, too.

What else...Oh yes. Jessica, in response to your comment: to paint my sailor, I generally use watercolor paper, just that kind you find in packs of 12 or so. Sometimes I will paint on canvas or even wood. And yes, I just scan them to do the prints, but I also tweak the colors in Adobe Photoshop beforehand. And bags and tshirts are a wonderful idea, I think I'll explore that! Thank you for the suggestion!
