Been away for a while, sorry about that - had to assist with my mom and family selling/moving out of maybe my favorite house ever, which is kindof a big fat bummer, but that's life, I guess! Also hit the year mark at my job which threw me into a giant fit of 'What am I doing with my life?!' which is all kinds of fun! But things are settling, and I think after this weekend I'll be back into an arty mood, thank goodness. I need that little art-break from reality to keep my sanity!
So, in lieu of much more content from me, here's some of my current likes:
It's been a busy week, so until I have new things to post, how about a little foray into art history and some of my favorite paintings?
Nothing like finding some new favorites and some old ones, too, when looking through art history. I have a poster-print of Napoleon Crossing the Alps on my wall that I bought at the Louvre last summer - I love it because it is so epic! Napoleon portraits are always hilarious to me, for some reason. He's always got to be really badass looking.

So my wintwin Kelsey is back in California, and yesterday we (I'm looking for a word but I can't find it - is recommenced a word?) met up again for our weekly Win Twin Tuesday, wherein she makes delicious food and I take photos but mostly just eat it all. Then we went on an adventure down to the canyon near my house:
I am personally a big fan of getting good and muddy when traipsing through a foresty area, especially when one has big boots, and one manages to not fall on one's behind. I was not disappointed. It was a good walk, and hopefully there shall be more in the future!
Spent yesterday and today watching all of The Office (UK). So fantastic.
Sherlock season 2. Haven't watched the second episode yet but the first was fantastic and I can't get enough of these two. (I seem to be on a Martin Freeman kick.)
My name is Kat, I live in the Bay Area, CA, and I spend my spare time drawing, painting, being inspired by things on the internet and going on adventures.
I like ships, the ocean, history, dinosaurs, folky music and action movies.
