Things I Like - Art History

It's been a busy week, so until I have new things to post, how about a little foray into art history and some of my favorite paintings? Nothing like finding some new favorites and some old ones, too, when looking through art history. I have a poster-print of Napoleon Crossing the Alps on my wall that I bought at the Louvre last summer - I love it because it is so epic! Napoleon portraits are always hilarious to me, for some reason. He's always got to be really badass looking. All images were found on this awesome tumblr.

Spent yesterday and today watching all of The Office (UK). So fantastic.
Sherlock season 2. Haven't watched the second episode yet but the first was fantastic and I can't get enough of these two. (I seem to be on a Martin Freeman kick.)

Things I Like

Well kids, my stay in Seattle is winding down. I'm heading back to the bay tomorrow, away from this gray weather and my mom's amazing cooking and these great thrift stores. And so, since I have nothing else to say of much importance, and since my new computer doesn't freeze every time I go on tumblr, how about some things that I like right now? Happy 2012 everyone, hope you're all enjoying the new year!

Real Life

Ack, September is over half gone already! Boy the time does fly, especially when you are keeping busy busy busy like I am!

Last Saturday I attended the opening reception for my very first official art show - that was pretty awesome! Everyone's work was amazing, it was so cool to be part of such a great show. I wish I had taken pictures, but I was worried about bringing my big bulky camera around that many people. Next time! (If there is one - and I hope there is :))


Speaking of my big bulky camera, my very awesome friend Kelsey started a food blog, and asked for me to help her take photos to document the delicious process that was bacon beignets. Oh my goodness, the photos cannot even begin to do them justice. If you are cooking-inclined (and even if you are not) you should head over to Trial and Error and make some yourself!


Other bits of news: we've been filming lots of fun stuff - this one came about when we decided that certain songs from the 90s probably had the power to kill someone, The Ring-style. The ultimate irony is, I think, the fact that this was born out of our mutual hate for this certain song, and now none of us can get it out of our heads.

I just finished editing a new skit that'll be up soon, and I'm working on soooo many party decorations for our upcoming nautical party. Also it's really hot here suddenly, which automatically means kiddypool time in the backyard. Hope everyone's doing well!

My life's been pretty boring lately, so how about I share some of the internetty things that have been occupying my time off work lately?


This is the blog of a girl in Japan who takes photos of herself levitating - I think it's totally rad! She's got some amazing photos, it makes me want to give it a shot.

For all of you Age of Sail and Aubreyad fans like me, there's The HMS Surprise Radio Play that I've been listening to. Kinda love it!

Busy Busy

Been really busy lately with a bit of traveling, lots of doctory things, and more super secret projects. Also used book shopping, holy moley. Holy moly? Holy mole?
